Lauren Preller is owner and
creator of fotopopART.
Lauren Preller is a National Award winning photographer and artist published in Communication Arts, New York Times, Southern Living, Garden Design Magazine, SKIRT!, Charleston Magazine; as well as the acclaimed book "The Charleston Gardener", Wyrick Publishers 2001. Moving her gallery from Charleston, SC, Lauren has opened a new kind of gallery on "The Avenue" in the eclectic neighborhood of Hampden, located the city of Baltimore, MD. At fotopopART,you will find an increasing collection of contemporary Baltimore ART. Preller's goal is represent most of Baltimore's historic neighborhoods with clever, authentic contemporary art. You will find ZIPCODE ART, which combines the colors and textures found on your streets into an aerial abstract map view of your neighborhood. Another fotopopART original is FUSED PORTRAITURE. This is a photographic portrait combining personal elements of the subject into their portrait. Prellers photography, with the advent of digital photography, has evolved into an art form, which combines both direct photographic images, as well as digitally manipulated images. The final artwork is then printed on large canvas murals, framed and installed. “Her pieces do everything artwork should do for an architectural space; reinforce the architectural character of the space, give focus while enhancing the whole experience of the space and provide visual interest without being merely decorative. I believe Lauren’s method could enhance any architectural interior.”Says Richard Bing, American Institute of Architecture, Associate Principle of LS3P Architects. |
